Our station is available on the internet, has CD-quality audio, and (unlike most internet radio stations) C C R C is NOT a station that just streams pre-programmed music. Instead, we have live DJ's (One of our DJ's is in the Country Music DJ Hall of Fame) on air 24 hours a day/7days a week, playing the best of REALcountry music . You won't hear any so-called "new country" on CCRC. What you WILL hear is music by Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, Loretta, Tammy, Kitty, Wanda Jackson, Waylon, Willie, Wynn Stewart, Roy Acuff, Hank Snow, and all of the other artists that radio stations won't play these days. You'll also hear new, independent artists who sing and write REAL country music. You will hear live interviews with many of the legends, such as Freddy Hart, Jack Greene, Merle Haggard, Lawton Williams, Pretty Miss Norma Jean, Jan Howard, Lacy J. Dalton, Eddy Raven, Warner Mack, and many others. You will also hear the live broadcast of Cowboy Church with Miss Norma Jean every Sunday. This station should carry a Government Health warning as it is addictive! Interacting in the 'studio' puts a new spin on 'chat rooms'. As a non American I find it hard to get my head around what is allowed to be thought of as country and not country!. I found my way here and realised that I have always been a country fan ~ but hadn't bought the label! The shows vary in pace, style and content and I challenge anyone NOT to find the show that suits them best! Alas my top show followed by next etc in succession means it has been known for me to be there for 18 hours at a stretch! For an insomniac with wireless set up and a lap top it is a saviour! I learn something every visit! Miranda Ward UK Seriously good! Hsve made some friends who have morphed from 'virtual' to real! CCR is highly recommended.
